Cinemachine movement glitch when player is unparented from a moving platform

I'm making a 2d platformer, I'm using cinemachine to make the camera follow the player. I have moving platforms in the game, when the player is on one, he is parented to the platform (so that he moves with the platform) and then when he moves off of it he is unparented from the platform. When he is unparented, the camera shakes for a moment, however it makes the player look like he is shaking, I've tried changing values but nothing really seems to make a difference, turning the X and Y damping to 0 helps it but I need the damping on to make the camera movement smoother. I know its something to do with cinemachine because I tried it with a normal camera to make sure its not the player but the issue is only noticeable when I'm using cinemachine. Thanks for any help.
