Why mesh render's object becomes black?

I have mesh render object which change its parent and layer when clicking on it, and if user up mouse button and object doesn't collide anything it change back its old parent and layer. In second case it becomes black by, unknown for me, reasons. This object have textures on it. Second time when I click on it textures appear, release button and it is black again. Why could this happen?
